In May, the State Government announced a one-off $400 Household Electricity Credit to help reduce the cost-of-living pressures for households, as part of the 2022-23 State Budget.
Eligible recipients of the payment include those in apartment buildings or homes where the electricity costs are recouped from the tenants by the owners (such as strata management). It also applies to households that receive electricity charges direct from a retailer other than Synergy or Horizon Power, such as Perth Energy or Alinta Sales.
We are pleased to announce that our Lodging Residents and eligible tenants will be receiving this credit and will be notified by their Lodging or Housing Coordinator who will also help in completing the required application.
If you are directly billed by Synergy or Horizon Power, please contact your provider to discuss your eligibility.
