Collaboration the key for impact

July 27, 2017

Crystal clear communication and a shared agreement about the desired outcomes are two key elements of a successful collaboration, according to our speakers at our recent seminar  “Are you partner ready? Collaborating in the not for profit sector”.

Representatives from the community housing, social services and health sectors came together recently at in the Community Meeting Space at our Bennett St complex to discuss how, together, we can use collaboration and partnerships to deliver better services to clients, and also positive social impacts to the communities we serve.

Debra Zanella, Chief Executive Officer of Ruah gave us an insight into the effective 50 lives for 50 people project, a cross organisational collaboration to house and support homeless people in Perth. While Corinne Hawke, General Manager of Community Engagement for St Bartholomew’s House, spoke on the capabilities organisations need to form effective partnerships.

Debra then joined Kathleen our CEO Gregory and Cedar Woods Managing Director, Paul Sadleir, for a panel discussion on collaboration and the not-forprofit sector.  Thanks to all who came along.  If you would like to discuss a potential partnership with Foundation Housing, please contact Tom Tolchard or Kerryn Edwards on 9422 0700 or tom@foundationhousing.org.au or Kerryn@foundationhousing.org.au
