Mission Australia’s Christmas Lunch in the park provides in-need people a place to call home on Christmas Day, with a shared lunch and companionship as well as entertainment and access to community support services. This year, the organisers are asking that people who plan to attend collect a wristband from nominated service providers prior to the day to ensure that they are given priority entry to the marquee. This is being done to ensure that those most in need, don’t miss out. Please call their offices on 9225 0400 for further information.
There will be free buses to the event from 9.30am onwards from Perth Station.
This event provides a free Christmas Lunch to local community residents who have nowhere to go, have no family, are lonely or who cannot afford a meal of their own, or are isolated on Christmas Day. It is held in Central Park, Joondalup which is five minutes walk from Joondalup Station.
You need to register to attend by phoning 0466 252 076 to register or by visiting http://www.joondalupchristmaslunch.com/index.php/about/
