Environmental Social Governance

What is Environmental Social Governance?

Environmental Social Governance (ESG) is a term used to describe an organisation’s interests that focus mainly on social and environmental impacts.

The role of an ESG is to ensure accountability and systems to manage an organisation’s impact, such as its carbon footprint. The CORT has had various discussions
on ESG and ways in which FHL can become more environmentally friendly and sustainable. Some steps we are currently taking include:

  • Implementing digitally friendly platforms such as ‘Docusign’ across the organisation to minimise the use of paper
  • Using eco-friendly and reuseable catering items where possible, such as plates and coffee cups
  • Communicating to tenants the importance of recycling, waste management and pollution control

FHL continue to monitor advice on ESG to ensure we are doing what we can to address the environmental and social challenges facing WA.
