Scholarship Program

Scholarships

Foundation Housing is committed to building the capacity of its tenants and residents by providing opportunities to access further education and development.

We want our residents and tenants to achieve their goals and reach their full potential. Our Scholarship Program is available to tenants and residents who are considering or currently undertaking study. Funding of up to $2,000 per scholarship will be offered to contribute to fees or expenses for a course chosen to undertake in the interest of furthering education and improving employment opportunities.

What Scholarship can I apply for?

The two scholarships offered are:

  • Educational and Development Scholarship – available to eligible tenants and residents.
  • The Kathleen Gregory Scholarship – specifically available to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander tenants and residents.

What can the Scholarship be used for?

You can use the funding to pay for lots of different things such as:

  • Course fees for TAFE or university
  • Text books, workbooks, study guides and computer equipment
  • Uniforms, sports kit/ equipment and special equipment
  • Tutoring and specialist skills development e.g., writing courses or football academies

Our scholarship recipients in recent years have achieved amazing things. Tamyrn has completed her Diploma of Accounting and is now looking at completing a second diploma; David is finishing his Bachelor of Nursing with his dream to be a Mental Health Nurse and Dylan is passionate about Computer Science and his completing his Diploma of Information Technology (Advanced Networking).

How can I apply?

Simply fill in an application form found below or pick up a form from any Foundation Housing office. You can also call the office or to have an application form posted to you.

You will need to fill out the application form giving as much detail as possible. Additional documents may be required to support your application. This might include a course acceptance letter and/or a copy of course fees. Please send applications to communications@foundationhousing.org.au.

Applications for the 2023 Scholarship Program close at 5pm on Friday 25 November 2022.
