Foundation Housing Ltd operates a social enterprise business model, that means that we invest all profits into adding new housing stock and developing ways to support and sustain our tenants. You can support our work by making a tax deductable donation.
With community-based participation at the core, our tenant led place making initiatives combine the creative ideas of our residents with the resources and goodwill of the local community. We believe that place making empowers our residents whilst delivering a positive contribution to the broader community’s health, happiness and wellbeing.
In 2015 the commercial kitchen at our lodging house at 100 Hampton Road, Fremantle was refurbished thanks to the FORM, BHP and Foundation Housing Ltd partnership along with funding from the Fremantle Impact 100. The kitchen provides a unique training opportunity for the 192 residents to connect with skills and enjoy meaningful participation whilst prepping, cooking and sharing delicious healthy food. The future programming of the kitchen will rely on donations and the goodwill of the community.
Many Foundation Housing tenants are excluded from training & education due to the rising cost of living pressure they experience. Foundation Housing has established relationships with a number of Western Australia’s premier training and education providers who offer subsidised training and skills development to those on very low incomes.
