City of Vincent Partnership brings our Tenant’s Artwork into the community!

August 16, 2022

Foundation Housing partnered with the City of Vincent throughout July and August to showcase our Tenant Art Engagement Project.

The project was developed as an opportunity to empower and engage our tenants with the broader community by showcasing their passions and creativity through a range of artwork such as ceramics, jewellery, paintings and more. A total of thirteen artists have been involved in the project so far.

A morning tea was held at the City of Vincent Library to gather residents and tenants, their families and Foundation Housing staff together to celebrate the incredible work of the artists involved. Each artist has a incredible story behind their artwork and the morning tea was a great opportunity to highlight these stories and allow for everybody to network.

“It has been so incredible to see the sensational talents behind our tenants and residents. Some of the artwork that has been displayed is well and truly phenomenal. Most artists have produced their artwork based on something personal, whether it is their childhood, experience with homelessness, their dreams or culture,” said Paige, Communications Officer.

The Tenant Art Engagement Project is an on-going initiative and our Community Engagement Team hope to see it expand as more residents and tenants hear about it and see the possibilities for getting involved.
