On 22 December 2021, the Foundation Housing Community Engagement Team brought the festive spirit early by hosting an end-of-year Tenant Family Christmas Lunch.
The sun was shining for a wonderful day in the beautiful surroundings of Kings Park (Kaarta Koomba) and begun with a beautiful Welcome to Country by Robert Eades.
Tenants were entertained with a Christmas lunch and games for the kids. Santa even decided to brace the heat and join in by giving out plenty of gifts for the young ones. “It was great to spend some time with everyone and get into the Christmas spirit with our wonderful tenants,” says Housing Coordinator, Tracy.
Freda Ogilvie and Sylvia Nelson from the Foundation Housing Aboriginal Advisory Group also attended the event with their families. “This has been such a great day. It has been really nice to see lots of members of the Aboriginal community here too,” said Sylvia’s daughter.
Foundation Housing thanks all the families that attended the lunch and looks forward to hosting more family orientated events in the new year.
