Fremantle properties sought for 20 Lives 20 Homes project

May 27, 2020

Foundation Housing is continuing to recruit properties for the 20 Homes 20 Lives Fremantle pilot program which aims to assist people who have experienced long-term housing instability in the area.  One and two bedroom units in Fremantle and surrounding areas are needed to house people identified as in need by the program’s partners so that they can access suitable long-term accommodation and stablise their lives.

Properties in the program are managed by Foundation Housing under a headlease, with the property owner offered a guaranteed income for 12 months with no property management fees or minor maintenance costs.  During this time, the participant will receive intensive support from program partners St Patrick’s Community Support Centre and Ruah Community Services.  The 20 Lives 20 Homes program is funded by the State Government through the Department of Communities.

The program is based on the successful 50 Lives 50 Homes program which has to date assisted 264 people in 223 homes to move from situations of long-term housing insecurity into suitable homes where they receive wrap around support.

Interested property owners should contact Kylie from Foundation Housing at kyliei@foundationhousing.org.au or phone 9422 0733.
