Today we celebrate International Women’s Day and recognise the incredible women who shape our organisation, strengthen our communities and inspire change every day.

Across Foundation Housing, women lead with purpose, support our tenants, contribute to their communities and continue to grow, innovate and make a meaningful impact.

This year we’re proud to highlight some of the many ways women across our organisation lead, inspire and give back.

Celebrating Our Female Directors

Strong leadership helps shape strong organisations.

Today we recognise our female Directors Felicity Zimmermann, Gail McGowan, and Janelle Marr; whose experience, guidance and leadership help steer our organisation forward.

Their insight, professionalism and commitment continue to strengthen our governance and ensure we remain focused on delivering positive outcomes for our tenants and communities.

Leading with Purpose

Our TRC Chair – Nicole Corbett

The leadership of our female Tenant and Resident Committee (TRC) Chair, Nicole, reflects courage, integrity and a deep commitment to meaningful change.

Through her guidance, our TRC continues to strengthen cultural understanding, accountability and action across Foundation Housing.

Nicole champions respectful dialogue, challenges us to think deeper, and helps turn intention into action. Her leadership strengthens not only our strategy, but our culture.

Giving Back Beyond the Workplace

Beyond their roles at work, many of our staff give their time and energy to support their local communities.

From volunteering and coaching to supporting local initiatives and charities, women across our organisation continue to make a difference outside the workplace.

Supporting Local

We’re proud to support local businesses and celebrate the people who help make our staff gatherings special.

This includes the incredible Jenny Lam, founder of Bunn Mee and the creative force behind Saigon Story.

Jenny’s passion for food, culture and community is a wonderful example of local women building successful businesses and bringing people together.

Supporting Culture

This year we were proud to gift staff beautiful items from Koh Living, featuring artwork created by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists.

Through these purchases, a portion of proceeds goes directly back to the artists – supporting Indigenous creativity, culture and storytelling.

It’s a small way we can celebrate culture while supporting artists and communities.
