About Us

Foundation Housing is a registered Tier One community housing provider with expertise in property development and management, as well as tenancy management and support. It manages a portfolio of homes worth over $650m and has ownership interest in more than $200m of assets around Western Australia.

The not-for-profit organisation was formed in 2006 following the merger of three smaller housing associations and is now an award-winning leader in its field.  Its head office is located in Leederville, with satellite and regional offices in Joondalup, Midland, Broome and South Hedland.

Foundation Housing has an impressive track record in property development and management, as well as tenancy management and support. Its accommodation options include lodging houses as well as tenancies in units, apartments and family homes. It houses around 3,500 individuals on low incomes around the State.

Beyond managing buildings, the core of Foundation Housing’s business is helping the people it houses to secure and retain their home by providing a high level of service and support. Foundation Housing understands that having a home is only the start of a journey, and that feeling empowered and connected to the local community can impact enormously on tenants’ lives. This approach is critical to its long term goal of helping people make a positive move to independent living where they can. This work is underpinned by strong partnerships with like-minded organisations that enable it to reach far more people than working alone.
