Your application for transfer will be considered as long as, at the time you apply, you have:

  1. held the tenancy of your home for at least 6 months.
  2. a clear rent account or, if you owe us any rent, you have (and are keeping to) an affordable arrangement to repay the debt in full within six months.
  3. maintained the home and garden in a clean and reasonable condition.
  4. kept to the terms of your tenancy agreement and have had no breaches served within the last three months.
  5. met the relevant criteria in order to be eligible for affordable housing.

When we received your application, an assessment will be carried out by management. After this is completed, you will be notified of the outcome.

In the event the transfer is approved, you will then be placed on a waitlist and notified when an apartment you have applied for becomes available. You will be provided with 2 transfer offers when the next apartment becomes available for the complex you have requested.

Should you decline both offers to transfer, your approval to transfer will be withdrawn. A new application to transfer will need to be placed, however, you will not be able to apply until 3 months have passed since approval was withdrawn.

Transfer Plan

As indicated previously, approved transfers provide an applicant with 2 transfer offers when the next apartment becomes available for the complex they have requested. Should you decline both offers to transfer, approval to transfer will be withdrawn. A new application to transfer will need to be placed, though will not be available until 3 months has passed since approval was withdrawn.

Note: In order for us to assess and process your application, all parts of the application must be complete and all required documents must be provided. In order for us to offer you a transfer, you: 1. must not owe us any rent. 2. must have kept their home and garden clean and in a reasonable condition. 3. must have kept to the terms of the tenancy agreement and have had no breaches served within the last three months. 4. must meet the relevant criteria in order to be eligible for affordable housing and the particular property you wish to transfer to. 5. must complete a new application at time of offer and sign a new tenancy agreement/pay a new bond for the new property. If you unreasonably refuse two offers of accommodation, your name will be removed from the transfer waitlist.

I / we agree to notify Foundation Housing immediately if any of my circumstances change or any of the information I / we have detailed on this form changes. I / we understand that changes may affect this application and failure to disclose will cause this application and any subsequent offers of alternative accommodation to be withdrawn.(Required)

If your application has been deemed eligible for transfer it is expected that:

I/we am the tenant of the property, and the tenancy agreement is in my name.(Required)
I/we will be responsible for all my moving costs.(Required)
I/we will exit the previous tenancy as per the end of the lease agreement held at the property.(Required)
I/we will pay any tenant liability owed from the previous tenancy.(Required)
I/we will sign a new tenancy agreement and pay the bond on the new property.(Required)
If I/we are made a valid offer of accommodation and it’s an invalid decline, then I/we will be removed from the wait list.(Required)
I/we understand this application is listed on a wait turn basis.(Required)
