Foundation Housing has been selected as the preferred Community Housing Provider to manage a new social and affordable housing development at Queens Riverside in East Perth.
The project will repurpose a former serviced apartment complex at 10 Adelaide Terrace to provide more than 200 homes for Western Australians experiencing housing stress. Located close to the Swan River, public transport, health services and key city amenities, the development will deliver well-located, long-term rental housing for low to moderate income households.
The building is being adapted from short-stay accommodation into permanent residential housing, with upgrades and modifications to support long-term living for residents.
Foundation Housing is working closely with existing residents and businesses in the Queens Riverside complex, the local neighbourhood and government and community partners to establish Q4 residents and support the development of a connected, welcoming and sustainable community.
The Q4 Queens Riverside project offers an opportunity to not only create homes that meet the needs of Foundation Housing residents, but to also support sustainable, long-term community outcomes.
